The Organization

Hammer Asset Management, LLC is an independent investment advisory firm based in Gilford, NH with an office in Salt Lake City. We have over million in assets under our sole management plus an additional million in assets where we allocate funds among other advisors or mutual funds. Our company is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission under the Investment Advisors Act of 1940. Our clients include corporations and corporate retirement plans of all sizes as well as individual trust, retirement, and taxable accounts. We act in an advisory capacity only and do not retain custody of any cash, securities, or other client assets. We are compensated through a quarterly management fee, which is a function of the amount of assets in the account. Our company has three partners, including analysts/portfolio managers, plus other research analysts and portfolio evaluators. Hammer Asset Management is majority-owned and operated by David A. Hammer, CFA. Before founding the company in 1990, Dave Hammer served as Vice President (manager of trust-investments) of a major regional bank in the west and Senior Vice President of a well-known New England insurance company. He has been an adjunct professor (Investments) at Boston University and has over 35 years of investment experience. Hammer is also the author of Dynamic Asset Allocation (John Wiley & Sons, 1990) and co-author of Global Asset Allocation (Wiley & Sons, 1994).
